Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for A-levels. She regrets that she didn't have a typical university education when discussing her Emmerdale experience. Coleman performed in Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she participated in during her time in school. Apart from winning a prize for her acting, the play she performed was well received. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman landed the part as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two awards in the year 2007. The British Soap Awards nominated her for the title of best newcomer. At the National Television Awards, she was also nominated best newcomer with the highest popularity. Coleman was awarded nominations in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21, 2012 that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters quit the show. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman to be the companion because she would perform best alongside Smith. Additionally, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her career has been in the industry of entertainment since 1987. Her most well-known work is her work on television than in film. In all the characters Eva has appeared in on television shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which stand out. It was the former that brought her two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to express her creative side via music. Eva is a businesswoman, in addition to an actor. She was married three times and also has a daughter with her previous husband.
