Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer also a model, actor and author. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most well-known films. Her desire to be an artist was influenced from her childhood as a member of an New York family of artists. After working as assistant to photographers, she turned her attention to acting and modeling. MacGraw was noticed in her first two movies and received Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major success and earned her international notoriety, along with several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office star of the globe after just three releases. In 1972 her hand-footprints and signatures were recorded at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
